Experimental Investigation of the CFS-PU Composite Wall Panel under Axial Compression

This study presents an innovative design for a cold-formed steel polyurethane (CFS-PU) composite wall panel, combining frame, foam infill, and gypsum fibreboard sheathing. The filling process, in which the is injected under pressure, ensures uniform distribution, bonding, interaction of all panel components. aim to evaluate behaviour CFS-PU panels influence PU sheathing on performance CFS frame structure. For this purpose, comprehensive test programme was conducted with nine full-scale specimens, including four CFS-F specimens without infill five both sides. examined various aspects failure modes, stability, stiffness, load-bearing capacity, ductility index. By analysing these parameters, valuable insights were gained into characteristics panels. capacity improved by 2.34 times stiffness 1.47 compared specimens. positive results highlight potential improving axial compression walls.
